We are ordinary people, with an extra-ordinary passion for the well-being of humanity.

THE ROLE OF A CHAPLAIN

A Chaplain is a mature Christian who has under-gone the equipping training course and is first and foremost there to help, support and assist the Community and members and their families in time of need.

Chaplains provide spiritual and emotional support and guidance.

Chaplains also provide ministerial support by bringing a short message and prayer at parades, events and shift changes. Weddings, funerals and memorial services as well as hospital visits are a regular part of the Chaplains role.

During times of major structural fires, Chaplains also support the Emergency Services Personnel by providing them with refreshments.

Chaplain also provides support at accident or other traumatic scenes, either by supporting the personnel at the scene or by providing trauma support to the victims. This often includes keeping family and other spectators out of the way and delivering death notifications and trauma support to bereaved family members.
